Welcome to Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
The objective of an Employee Assistance Program is to assist employees with a wide range of personal problems and/or professional concerns with the purpose of helping employees with the work/life balance. EAP provides support to the employees as well as to managers regarding consultation on how to assist an employee who may be having difficulties.
SERVICES:

Assessment and referral of employees experiencing personal problems.

Brief problem-solving counseling when a referral is unnecessary.

Consultation with management staff on effective management of the troubled employee.

Consultation with Human Resources on appropriate management of troubled employees in the corrective action process.

Liaison with treatment providers to monitor compliance with return to work contracts for those employees that have been given “last chance” agreements.

Provide workshops on a variety of different topics, including stress management, working with difficult behavior and managing the stress of change.

Department Intervention - Assessment of departmental problems and recommendations for improvements.
